Perm business-incubator alumni explore international market

City business-incubator celebrates its two years anniversary. Young businessmen support center started its work in 2011 over the initiative of the Head of the City Administration Anatoly Mahovikov. More than 9 thousand people have visited it over this time. Business center graduates successfully turn into life their projects not only on the territory of the Russian Federation but also internationally.

Perm City Manager Anatoly Mahovikov visited the incubator to discuss the perspectives of the residents’ projects. He expressed a high opinion of the results of the center’s two-years work.

“The difference of the Perm incubator is in its uniting power. Young businessmen find like-minded fellows and form strong teams. Which later work on and bring to life high-quality products, - said Mahovikov. – In two years the center was visited by more than 9 thousand people. Even if only 10% of them start their own business in Perm – we can consider it a success. I can see some really strong and authentic projects here. I would like to see them realized in urban environment: schools, kindergartens, means of public transportation, etc.”

Nearly 20 projects are in-progress right now at the incubator. The residents receive not only theoretical, but also material support: they can use conference halls, offices and meeting rooms on easy terms. More than 300 educational programs and 2 thousand law and accounting consultations have been conducted here.

The residents’ projects are being demanded by the largest Russian companies and organizations. Andrey Durakov’s app “Mobile museum guide” is now used not only by the largest Russian museums, but also by some American museums and galleries. Innovative project “WitchCraft”, created by the “Brainy Studio” has won a second award at the international technologies competition “Imagine Cup Russia 2013” and has become one of the most popular applications for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8. “Forex-Club” company and “Sberbank” show interest in an interactive stand, created by Ilya Kutsenko and Sergey Kalkatin.

“These projects are seem to be very strong and are likely to be demanded by major companies. These products are unique and lower in price compared with the analogues. I think that Perm business-incubator has a great future” – said the Economics and Technologies Adviser of the Head of City Administration Viktor Kobelev.

The incubator plans to form partnership with major business companies. In spring 2013 it signed the cooperation agreement with OAO “Proton-PM”, under which the company forms a request, based on its needs, and the incubator works on its realization. Several projects for “Proton-PM” are already in-progress.
